Volterra Fietta and its lawyers at all levels again top the rankings in the world’s leading independent law firm directories, including Chambers & Partners and Legal 500
For yet another year, Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 have both recognised Volterra Fietta as the leading firm for Public International Law and International Arbitration. Volterra Fietta has never been listed as less than in the top Band or Tier 1 for public international law by the major legal directories since the firm was founded, over ten years ago. Volterra Fietta lawyers also continue to receive personal recognition for their excellence from other directories, such as Euromoney’s 2022 Expert Guides.
This year, as for more than two decades, Volterra Fietta and partner Robert Volterra’s practice were again ranked as Band 1 in Public International Law in the 2023 Chambers & Partners rankings and Tier 1 in the same category in the 2023 Legal 500 rankings.
Volterra Fietta received the highest ranking, Band 1, in Chambers & Partners for Public International Law. It was also ranked in Chambers & Partners for International Arbitration. The directory and Volterra Fietta clients gave positive feedback about the firm, such as:
Partner Robert Volterra was personally included in Chambers & Partners’ “Star Individuals” category for Public International Law. He is the only lawyer to hold both “Star Individual” ranking and Band 1 ranking in the category “International Arbitration: Arbitrators”. Chambers & Partners describes Robert as “one of the country’s top PIL practitioners”, “a formidable arbitration specialist with long-standing expertise in investor-state arbitration” and “experienced in acting as both counsel and arbitrator”. Volterra Fietta partner Gunjan Sharma retained his “Rising Star” status in the Legal 500 2023 rankings (the rankings were based on submissions made before Mr Sharma’s promotion to partner in May of last year). Most recently, partner Gunjan Sharma was also re-designated, for another year, as a “Rising Star” in Commercial Arbitration by Euromoney’’s Expert Guide 2022, based on anonymous client and peer referrals.
