Graham Coop was described as “a very experienced New Zealand barrister” and “a very careful lawyer whose judgement” is highly respected.

The Legal 500 noted that Álvaro Nistal is a “key practitioner” of the firm “known for his investment treaty arbitration work” and that clients had described him as “an energetic and capable lawyer”, both Spanish and English qualified, who makes an essential contribution to the firm’s “capability of dealing with Latin American issues”.

Another testimonial described Gunjan Sharma as “very professional” and a “future star in the public international law area for sure”, who is “quick and very easy in communication” and has “fantastic drafting skills”.

These rankings and testimonials confirm Volterra Fietta’s commitment to the highest standard of excellence, in a year in which the firm has represented clients from all continents in a wide range of bet-the-company and bet-the-country disputes, including before the International Court of Justice and both investment treaty and commercial arbitration tribunals.  The firm will continue working to offer its clients high-quality, practical advice, including by bringing together the best minds and most experienced professionals.
