Volterra Fietta Partner to speak on a panel on the impact and challenges of international human rights law at the University of West Indies

Later today, on 22 April 2024, at 8 pm UK time / 3 pm Barbados time, Gunjan Sharma, Partner at Volterra Fietta will speak at a seminar on a distinguished panel of human rights experts on the “Impact and Challenges of International Human Rights Law”.  The seminar will take place at the University of West Indies in Barbados.  This event is open to the public and will be livestreamed YouTube and Vimeo.

Ms Anika Jackson, Solicitor General of Barbados, will open the seminar and Professor David S. Berry, International Law Professor University West Indies, will moderate the event.   Further joining Mr Sharma on the panel are:

  1. Judge Ricardo C. Pérez Manrique, Judge of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights;
  2. Commissioner Roberta Clarke, President of the Inter-American Commission of Human Rights;
  3. Judge Verónica Gómez, Judge of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights; and
  4. Professor Diane Desierto, International Law Professor University of Notre Dame.
