William is a New Zealand-qualified lawyer. He holds an LLM in Commercial Law from the University of Cambridge, where he served as a General Editor of the Cambridge International Law Journal. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce and an LLB(Hons) from the University of Auckland, where he won several academic prizes and mooting competitions, and was published in the Auckland University Law Review.
Before completing his LLM and joining Volterra Fietta, William practised as a lawyer in the Construction and Infrastructure Disputes team of a leading New Zealand law firm. He advised and acted for employers, contractors and local authorities on a range of contentious matters, including arbitrations and High Court proceedings.
