
Kobby is a Ghanaian-qualified lawyer with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ghana School of Law and a Master of Laws degree from Harvard Law School. His practice includes international dispute resolution, cross-border transaction advisory, public international law advisory and public sector work.
Kobby has worked on proceedings before the International Court of Justice, the Permanent Court of Arbitration, ICSID and the UK Supreme Court. His international dispute resolution work includes investment treaty arbitration, commercial disputes, sovereign immunities before domestic courts, international environmental law and international human rights. Much of his work is focused on the natural resources extraction sector. He regularly participates in providing international law and dispute resolution training programmes to government officials.
Prior to joining Volterra Fietta, Kobby practised at a leading full-service corporate firm in Ghana. He also served as a government policy consultant, supporting legislative reforms in Ghana in areas such as anti-corruption, emerging technology, data protection and cybersecurity.
