Javid Rahimli

Staff Lawyer

Javid is an Azerbaijani-qualified lawyer.  He holds an LLM in International Law from the University of Cambridge, an LLM in National Security and Foreign Relations Law from The George Washington University, and an LLB (Distinction) from Baku State University.

Prior to joining Volterra Fietta, Javid worked as a research assistant to a King’s Counsel on public international law matters.  His experience includes open-source investigations for Amnesty International and advisory work at think tanks in Washington DC, London and Baku.  He has also practiced at a law firm and led a legal NGO in Baku.

He previously served as Blog Editor of the Cambridge International Law Journal and as a researcher for the Cambridge Pro Bono Project.
