Staff Lawyer

Obaro is a Nigerian-qualified lawyer with extensive experience in commercial litigation and arbitration. He holds an LLB from University of Lagos, Nigeria and recently graduated with a distinction in his LLM from University College London where he focused on commercial law and dispute resolution. Obaro’s LLM dissertation was focused on foreign investment protection in Nigeria.

Prior to joining Volterra Fietta, Obaro worked as in-house legal counsel at one of Nigeria’s commercial banks. He also worked as an associate in a leading Nigerian law firm, where he advised on multi-party and multi-jurisdictional disputes across various sectors such as taxation, energy, construction, maritime and shipping, oil and gas. He also regularly represented government entities and corporate organisations before Nigerian courts and international arbitral tribunals.
