Khawla is qualified as a lawyer in Israel. She holds an LLB degree with honours from Tel-Aviv University, and a LLM degree from Harvard Law School. Recently, Khawla completed a research fellowship at Harvard Law School, focusing on the institutional structures of international investment law.
Before completing her LLM, Khawla practiced commercial litigation and dispute resolution at a law firm in Israel. There, Khawla worked on high-stakes and cross-border commercial disputes, with an emphasis on law and technology and product liability litigation. Previously, Khawla clerked at the Supreme Court of Israel.
